UPACIFICO Academic Experience

Universidad Del Pacífico contains 4 different colleges all focused on business studies. Business Administration & Economics, Applied Sciences, Liberal Arts, and the College of Maritime Studies and Environmental Sciences.

Our system of instruction is based on the Harvard Case Study Methodology, which combines theory, analysis and practice. We are registered in the International Handbook of Universities, published by UNESCO and the International Association of Universities.

Transfer or exchange students: 1 Academic Credit is equal to 16 contact class hours. European Credits Transfer System (ECTS) compatible. UMAP Credit Transfer Scheme (UCTS) compatible.

ACCOMMODATION
We can arrange several options to ensure your stay in Ecuador fulfils your expectations. Staying with a host family is always a unique and enriching experience for both the family and the student, although other students prefer independent living in an apartment or student residence.

• UPACIFICO offers accommodation with previously selected host families.
• The arrangement with the host family includes: two daily meals, laundry, non-shared room, reception at the airport and orientation on public transport from the house to UPACIFICO.
• For a process of acculturation and development of personal safety standards, foreign students must arrive the first two weeks at the home of host families and will pay in advance the price stipulated to UPACIFICO. After the two weeks of stay, students will be able to choose other options such as apartments, suites, hostels, residential or other host families.

Process
The Student must be full-time in accordance with the academic standards of the University of origin.
• The Student will be governed by the regulations established by UPACIFICO during their stay in Ecuador.
• The classes available in the exchange programs are the regular ones at the UPACIFICO headquarters; whether they are undergraduate or graduate.
• The student will be able to move between venues at the end of each term.
• If the student wishes to take special classes such as languages or others, he must pay the value of said classes to UPACIFICO, according to the values established by said institution.
